For this one of a series highlighting Citi’s philanthropic and environmental work, I worked with Storefront Music to create an original song that would score the picture naturally. We started with a full-length song featuring the inimitable Boots Ottestad on vocals, writing to the subject matter rather than to the picture itself, and eventually conformed so that the music and picture would work seamlessly. I was also able to work with Storefront on further spots in this series highlighting Citi’s work with the Kenya Tea Development Agency, which empowers small tea farming businesses in Kenya, as well as their efforts to rebuild the Ocean Bay apartments in Far Rockaway in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy.
